Join Gaia’s Rainbow in celebration of Samhain, the pre-Christian observance of Halloween, on Saturday, October 31. Meet and Greet begins at 7 p.m. followed by ritual in the Sanctuary. All are welcome; please bring food and/or beverage item to share.

Post-Halloween Night of Fun
Sprinkle Hope
We focus on children’s coats because there is a great need for them in our local schools. We collect new or slightly used coats, and then we distribute them directly to the children in need through the school guidance counselors. It is a way to ensure the support stays right here in our community. The coat bin will be in the social hall up to Oct. 31st. It is being run by Sprinkle Hope, who is our November split plate. The bin is for children’s coats only.

Join fellow BuxMont’ers in a course designed just for us. Reverend Danny Thomas will lead the class on three consecutive Sundays (Nov 1-8-15) from 12-1:30. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn better communications skills even when we thought civil conversation was getting impossible.
We’ll examine these three areas:
Neighbors: How we talk on Nov 4th
Friends: How we grow from knowing each other
Peace: How we share our values while respecting other’s
It’s FREE. A light lunch will be available at 11:45 in the social hall. Please register so we know how to set up the room and how much lunch to order.

Crafternoons at Buxmont
With the world unraveling, we need to stitch ourselves together in community, now more than ever. Let’s come to BuxMont UU for some crafting time together.
Let’s find some time for crafting and conversation. Consider it a mental health day. We can meet and work on our craft projects or just come and hang out. We can stitch, cut, mend, sketch, share stories and concerns, and maybe even patterns and craft supplies.
The Social Hall and the Fireside/Library are reserved from 11 am-3 pm for three autumn Saturday Crafternoons: November 28, and December 12.
Bring your own lunch or snack and drink. If you want to bring some food to share, that’s ok too, but not required or expected.
Kids are welcome, and parents are responsible. If the littles want to bring their books or toys or crafts, yaaaayyyy. The Fireside Library is a good kid space adjacent to social hall where we can be assured they’re safe. If you’d rather have a day without childcare responsibility, it’s fine to not bring them. Totally your call. No expectations, and not many rules!
The one rule is that we are each responsible to clean up our space and stuff. We want to leave BuxMont as clean and neat as we find it, all ready for Sunday morning service.

BuxMont Craft Fair
Craft Fair 2026 will be for one day only: November 22. Start off your holiday shopping early while benefiting both BuxMont and supporting our members. Please invite friends and family to come as well; while there will be fewer crafters there will still be a variety of fabric art, paintings, cards and, of course, jewelry. Seeking Poets and Readers of Poetry
The Poetry Service is becoming an annual tradition at BuxMont on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. This year’s Poetry Service will be held on November 29.
Once again, BuxMont’s resident band, Creedless Creekwater Revival, will be supplying all of the music for the service. The members of CCR already have begun selecting and practicing poetic songs for this year’s service.
Now we are seeking BuxMont members who can read their original poetry. We also need members who will read poetry that either they have found on their own or that can be supplied to them in preparation for that morning. Last year, 8 members of our congregation participated and we would like to get around that many people involved again.

Delicious Food and Conversation
All BuxMont women are invited to join us for our monthly lunch at 12:30 on Fridays. We try different restaurants in our area and enjoy a get together of delicious food and conversation.
