Pledging is about taking care of something we value and enabling it to grow. Your pledge lets us know how much money we can expect and in making decisions on what programs and activities we can afford.  Our pledge goal for the coming Fiscal Year (FY) is $267,000. BuxMont’s FY27 runs from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.  
This year our financial goals are grounded in the commitment to continuing to ensure excellence in Staff, highest quality RE, securing and enhancing our building and grounds, delivering programing that you want. Simply put, we are “Building Tomorrow Together”.  We will provide more details on all these areas in coming weeks.  
A common question is “What are the expectations as to how much each member or friend of BMUU should donate”?  In the past, we have not always been clear and some, and maybe even most, don’t have a clear expectation for an annual pledge to BMUU.  Each household has their own home budget to support their own expenses and their needs, and this will vary greatly between members. Everyone in our BuxMont community is valued, regardless of the amount pledged. AND, if circumstances for your household changes during the year, your pledge may be changed.  No one can predict the future and BMUU does budget anticipating that there may be changes during the year.  We trust that each household will contribute as is appropriate given their own circumstances.

It’s easy to make your FY27 pledge.  You can pledge online at buxmontuu.org/stewardship (Go directly to the online donation form)  or via email to pledge@buxmontuu.org or drop your pledge form in the green box in the social hall. the Pledge Form has your current year pledge, and FY27 pledge amounts at various giving levels.  Please submit your new pledge for FY27 no later than March 22, 2026.  Thank you for your continued commitment to BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

Letters and emails have been sent to all BuxMont households with more information about your pledge.  If you have not received yours, contact Howard Barkan and he will send it to you.
