Visiting BuxMont
BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located just a few hundred feet east of the intersection of Rte. 611 and Street Rd. (Rte. 132) in Warrington, PA. Directions and mass transit information are available here.
See BuxMont’s COVID-19 Response for details about how our Sunday services are being run at this time. Our Sunday services are in a hybrid format (both in-person and online).
Sunday Services at BuxMont
Currently our Sunday services are a hybrid format, both in-person and online via YouTube. Services begin each Sunday at 10:30 am, with people often gathering in person starting around 10:15 a.m. The YouTube will be on our home page by each Sunday morning. Recordings of past services are available on our Facebook page, usually by the Monday after the service.
When visiting in person, feel free to come as you are: dress up or down according to your own needs and taste. You may park anywhere that you like, including in the spaces reserved for visitors near the front door. Just inside the front doors, there is a short flight of stairs; a lift is available should you need it.
On your first visit you can learn more about BuxMont by:
- Asking questions of the Welcoming Ambassador, whom you can find in the upstairs lobby by the Visitors’ Table. (Front Door Greeters can also help.)
- If you have children with you, connecting with the Religious Education Coordinator, who will orient you to our program that day. (The Ambassador can introduce you.) Here is a link to our RE Program Page with more information about the RE program.
- Signing up to get the newsletter (on the visitors’ information form).
- Talking with a member of our Membership Committee. Front Door Greeters or the Ambassador can introduce you.
- Browsing and selecting materials about Unitarian Universalism and BuxMont on the tables in the lobby.
- Staying after the services for conversation.
Let us know more about you!
Use our online Visitor Information Form to let us know more about you, sign up for our newsletters, or request more information about BuxMont, UUism, and our children’s Religious Education programs.
Online Service Procedures and Etiquette
Participants may sign on as early as 10:15 a.m. This is a time to gather, “find your seat,” listen to and/or join conversations and people greet each other and catch up for a few minutes before the service starts.
When visiting us online, please complete this short visitors’ information form to let us know you are here, and to connect with our online ministry and programs.
At the end of the service, we have our in-person coffee hour. Someone from BuxMont will be available to answer any questions about BuxMont and Unitarian Universalism. It is a brave thing to enter and explore a community for the first time. Let us help make it easier!
Passing the Plate
You may make online donations in two ways:
- Use BuxMont’s Online Donation Center. When one doesn’t have a recorded pledge, you can select from Basket donation that goes toward the Operating budget and/or our split plate recipient as of that Sunday. The split plate recipient each Sunday will be announced at the beginning of the offertory. Other options are Endowment and Special Donation. You would need to email Elaine Barkan to identify what any special donation is for.
- Use the Vanco’s Mobile app on your phone, iPad, etc. You can find the GivePlus app on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Check out this Vanco Mobile How-To Guide for step-by-step instructions. If you use other apps on your phone, you’ll get used to this one very quickly!
You can also send a check to us at: BuxMont UU Fellowship, 2040 Street RD, Warrington, PA 18976. Please indicate “Basket Donation” on the memo line.
We are glad to have you with us! If you have any questions, please email our Membership Chairperson or Administrator.
However you choose to join us, we look forward to welcoming you!
