Cradles to Crayons
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.
Cradles works with social services organizations, school staff, and community organizations that know the children well so donations tailored specifically to the needs of each child can be provided. They serve children throughout Philadelphia, its surrounding counties, and Camden, NJ.
The Cradles to Crayons Donations Box has moved! It is now in the Parking Lot near Street Rd, in back of the BuxMont sign. It is next to the car in the picture, under the lamppost.
BuxMont is a community drop off point for new or nearly new clothing, books, school supplies and essentials for children in need in the Philadelphia area. See www.cradlestocrayons.org or contact Melissa Egbertson (see contact info below) for more information. Please make sure all the pieces are present and attached to one another, any directions or user manuals (if available) are attached, and place items in plastic bags as the box is not watertight.
Please note due to pandemic-related staffing changes our ability to take items has been limited. Read carefully before you drop off items – thanks very much!
