Habitat for Native Creatures
The location of our Fellowship on the bank of the Little Neshaminy Creek offers us a unique chance to create living space for other creatures. It also puts us into contact with native creatures that are sometimes considered pests but have a right to inhabit the property (e.g., beavers). The gardens around the BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship provide a haven for native creatures. Bat houses and duck boxes are in the process of being built as part of the Green Sanctuary initiative and installed to further encourage the presence of native inhabitants.
