A New Wave of Giving In 2024
BuxMont’s Board of Trustees is actively planning next year’s goals, including our 2024-25 budget (fiscal year starts on July 1). This planning includes the kick-off of the Annual Stewardship Campaign, also known as our Annual Pledge Drive. Your pledges are the primary source of income for the fellowship.
The BMUU 2024-25 Stewardship Campaign begins February 11, 2024 and runs through March 17, 2024.
Our goal is to raise $255,000 in pledges.
Key to obtaining your support is clear communication as to the importance how membership contributions are used to sustain and grow our BuxMont Community.
In the coming weeks, we will provide information on how your contributions will support BuxMont’s plans for the coming year. You will see presentations from fellow members and leadership regarding this year’s campaign and receive materials on how to pledge and generous giving.
The links below will give the information needed on pledging and testimonials from other members and leadership on the importance of pledging. You can also see a chart showing where your pledge money is used.
Our fellowship, like other UU communities, is 100% self-supporting. It means all of us must be good stewards to keep BuxMont strong and growing.
There are two options for you to consider when determining your pledge amount:
1.Pledging based on adjusted annual income (net household income):
The Fair Share Contribution guide is included below, please reference this guide before committing your pledge. In making your decision, consider the three commitment levels and how they relate to your membership and UU values.
- Sustain: The congregation is a significant part of my spiritual, social and intellectual life that I want to support. I am committed to sustain the programs and ministries of BuxMont UU.
- Expand: My commitment is a clear demonstration of the unique importance of BMUU and of my spiritual principles. This level will expand programming, membership outreach and community support for social justice issues close to home.
- Aspire: I am deeply committed to BuxMont UU, my contribution will provide fuel for aspirations including improving our building and grounds, bringing in new staff members to support RE, pastoral care and small group worship.

2.Pledging based on last year’s pledge:
- Sustain: As defined above. I agree to pledge the same amount as last year + an additional 3%. This is the minimal amount we request you consider pledging.
- Expand:. As defined above. My financial commitment reflects a 5 % increase over last year’s pledge.
- Aspire: As defined above. My financial commitment starts at a 10% increase over last year’s pledge.
We know that not everyone has the same financial means, so whatever the amount, a pledge should be something that not only sustains our community, but could also afford BuxMont to continue to grow.
On behalf of the Stewardship Committee, I thank you in advance for your generosity and making the upcoming Program Year 2024-25 a success!
Rob Livesay, President, Board of Trustees, BMUU
