Bread Communion: The Essential Ingredient is Trust

Rev. Sarah York writes, “Trust is hard to build. When it is broken, it is even more difficult to rebuild. Yet we know from our intimate relationships as well as our casual transactions with strangers that trust is essential to any community.”

During our service an intergenerational team will bake bread and then we will hold our own community Bread Communion where we practice what it is to be in relationship with one another through the sharing of food, an intimate act of trust that binds together families, communities, and cultures.

Rev. Kevin (he/him) has been BuxMont UU Fellowship’s minister since 2018. Beyond congregational life, Kevin is Adjunct Faculty with the Humanist Studies Program of the American Humanist Association, tries to maintain a meditation practice, and loves (perhaps too much) using his Bullet Journal.
