Wintering: to make a season into a verb

This Sunday’s programming is being offered both in-person and online.

How do we make a season into a verb? A time in our lives when the very natural world calls us toward rest and renewal. Katherine May explores what it means to winter in our lives and how much we need to do so from time to time with these words “To get better at wintering, we need to address our very notion of time. We tend to imagine that our lives are linear, but they are in fact cyclical. Doing those deeply unfashionable things—slowing down, letting your spare time expand, getting enough sleep, resting—is a radical act now, but it is essential.”

This will be Rev. Kevin’s last regular Sunday service before our holiday services begin as well as his sabbatical at the end of December.
