When we gather on this Sunday, it will have been five days since U.S. citizens across this land and around the globe finished casting their ballots in local, state, and midterm elections. Although at the time of this writing, we don’t yet know the election outcomes or how these days will unfold, we do know that our living tradition will continue to call and encourage us to be a prophetic people.
As a prophetic people, we are called to hold steadfast to the covenants we have within our congregations and with the over 1,000 congregations of our Unitarian Universalist Association and its covenanted communities. We are called to live and embody our tradition’s shared values through the spiritual discipline of Love—not only within our congregations and association, but also in our country and the wider world.
Join us this Sunday as we lean into community and rest in our tradition’s shared values, reflecting on how they can hold and support us during these times, and re-inspire us to co-create that which we experience as holy.
