WALL-E: Finding Purpose Amidst the Rubble

Missed the service? You can view its recording on YouTube.

As Dolly Parton once said, “Find out who you are. And do it on purpose.” What does a movie about two robots have to tell us about finding our purpose in our lives? Come explore the themes of WALL-E with Rev. Kevin and his husband (and cinephile) Justin as we both reflect on what this film teaches us about vocation and meaning.

Justin Jagoe is on the administrative & programming team for Renew Theaters, Inc, which includes the County Theater and the Ambler Theater. Justin has also served as the Administrator for the UU Humanist Association.

Rev. Kevin (he/him) has been BuxMont UU Fellowship’s minister since 2018. Beyond congregational life, Kevin is Adjunct Faculty with the Humanist Studies Program of the American Humanist Association, tries to maintain a meditation practice, and loves (perhaps too much) using his Bullet Journal.
