This Sunday’s programming is being offered both in-person and online.

What do we do when the figures we look up to let us down? When these individuals or the legacies they leave behind cause actual harm? Lisa Schilansky will look at the ways historical legacies should be both celebrated and seen as cautionary tales, particularly in Unitarian Universalism.

Lisa Schilansky is a proud member of First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia. Currently in her final year of seminary, Lisa is pursuing ordination with the Unitarian Universalist Association. Lisa has been a social worker for the past ten years and currently works as a therapist serving primarily LGBTQ young adults. Lisa was raised secularly Jewish and considers herself dual faith. She lives in Philly with her spouse Molly and their two cats.
