The French term, “raison d’etre” can be translated as “reason for being or the purpose for someone’s existence,” the title is from a longer title that was my original title for my first program I presented at BuxMont back in 1981, I believe, when I was brand new member and before I was a minister! I combined my creative photography and my music by creating a slide show  accompanied by original and favorite folk music of the 60’s and 70’s, titled, “Raison D’Etre: Searching for Love, Truth, Beauty, Perhaps Even God through Landscape and Songscape.” It was within a year that I decided to become a UU minister! I was ordained by the Fellowship in 1987, and after more than 30 years in ministry in congregations in PA, NJ, NY, OH, CA, CO, and TX I still have fond memories of my years with BuxMont.
