This year’s sermon series is about practices that promote connection to our inner life as well as the larger world. Some might call them spiritual practices. However, they are very much embodied and about how we relate to humanity whether we believe in the divine or approach the world
non theistically.
The practices of focus for this service will be Rites & Rituals. These practices help human beings transition through life’s stages, recognize when new people arrive, honor when others depart, and mark what our collective attention should be aimed towards. Rituals help us form groups as well as changes to our individual identities.
