Dear BuxMont Members and Friends,

We will hold a Memorial Service for Tom Thomas on Tuesday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fellowship, Rev. Kevin will officiate. There will be a reception with light snacks afterward.

Tom was a member of BuxMont UU Fellowship for thirty years. Social justice was a great passion of Tom’s which was recognized in September with a plaque which read “Peace & Justice and BuxMont UU Honors Tom Thomas for his lifelong service in the fight for social justice, his enthusiasm for direct action, and his generosity of spirit that inspires us all.”

Tom also enjoyed speaking and organizing services, his favorite topic being Martin Luther King, Jr. At BuxMont, Tom was active on the Peace and Justice Committee, giving most of his recent efforts to working on immigrants’ rights. Tom also volunteered with A Woman’s Place and the local food pantry, making weekly trips to Costco to shop for needed staples.
