As Baum wrote in The Lost Princess of Oz: “No thief, however skillful, can rob one of knowledge, and that is why knowledge is the best and safest treasure to acquire.” This year marks the 125th anniversary of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’s publication. The world L. Frank Baum created has captivated multiple generations and spans more than 14 books. Oz has also inspired multiple movies, plays, books and other works of art. What can the themes of this fictional world tell us about our own lives and the world of today?
Rev. Kevin (he/him) has been BuxMont UU Fellowship’s minister since 2018. Beyond congregational life, Kevin is Adjunct Faculty with the Humanist Studies Program of the American Humanist Association, tries to maintain a meditation practice, and loves (perhaps too much) using his Bullet Journal. - 10:30 a.m. – Religious education provided for children from birth through teens. All classes begin at 10:45 and last through the end of service.
