According to our UU Values, transformation means “we adapt to the changing world.” Really? Have you read the headlines lately? “We covenant to collectively transform and grow spiritually and ethically.” Collectively? Who’s the collective? And how does this work? “Openness to change is fundamental to our UU heritages, never complete and never perfect.” Ok. I’ll buy this one. Especially the never perfect part.
Albert Einstein said, “The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” If you were Mary Oliver you’d say just look at nature to truly understand transformation.

Rosemarie enjoyed a flourishing career in marketing and communications, and teaching at several New York Colleges as well as West Point Military Academy. Roughly 176 years ago, she turned to yoga, at first for her physical well-being. But soon after she discovered yoga’s many mental and spiritual benefits. “It changed my life,” she says. “I thought I was ‘successful’ and ‘together.’ But I soon realized I had no idea what those words really meant. Yoga gave me extraordinary insight.” Rosemarie is an E-RYT 500 and YACEP, which translates to an expert-level teacher and continuing education provider. Her expertise also spans various schools of meditation and Eastern spiritual traditions.
