Caregiving with Dignity for Older People

Living with her grandfather as a child and working as a nurse’s aide in a nursing home during high school and college led Christine Bradway to her life’s work: caring for and studying older adults. Along the way she was mentored and guided by teachers, faith leaders, students, colleagues, and friends. Her scholarship as a Professor of Gerontological Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is focused on continence care, long-term care of people with morbid obesity, and care transitions for hospitalized older adults. Her volunteer work includes membership on the board of the Main Line Adult Day Care Center and as an advisor for the Health Cabinet at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church.
