The beginning of May brings us to Beltane on the pagan Wheel of the Year. Also known as May Day throughout the world, this holiday is a mix of many folk traditions. May Day is also the fourth of four holidays tied to spring: Imbolc/Groundhog’s Day, the Spring Equinox/Ostara, Easter, and Beltane/May Day make a progression of markers from the first glimmers of the end of winter to feeling the warmth of summer’s promise. Join us for this all-age’s service as we dance the May Pole, create May Day Baskets, and celebrate warmer days and the flowering of the world around us.
