Come and join us December 19 for a celebration of Yule, honoring the cycles of our Earth.  The Winter Solstice marks the return of the Sun and longer days, which will result in Spring and the rebirth of the Earth’s bounty.  Meet & Greet begins at 7:00 pm, with ritual beginning at about 8:00  followed by some seasonal festivities.  Please contact Tammy for more information.

5 p.m. Christmas Eve Pageant

Christmas at BuxMont

Our annual pageant tells the story of Christmas and children (and adults) get to dress up in costumes representing the people, creatures and angels who populate it.  Some of the parts are assigned in advance (sign up here), but many participants are recruited from the congregation as the pageant develops.  The Family Choir adds their special voices to this service.  After we have the full tableau of characters, we end with a beautiful candlelight ceremony (LED technology).

8 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Our traditional lessons and carols service will feature the Adult Choir, readings telling the Christmas story and a reflection from Rev. Dan Schatz.  It too ends with a candlelight ceremony (wax technology).

11 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Also a traditional lessons and carols service, the midnight service features the Metaphysical Singers.  The carols and anthems will differ from 8 p.m.  As midnight approaches we will end with candlelight as we all sing “Silent Night.”
