Creedless Creekwater Revival (CCR) is BuxMont’s contemporary instrumental ensemble. But don’t let that description fool you. We feature both instrumentalists and singers in the mix! Formed in the summer of 2012, CCR consists of dedicated folks who, above all, simply enjoy the process of making music together outside of the usual religious choral setting. CCR performs during BuxMont’s Sunday services about once per month, and also performs at various concerts and social functions throughout the calendar year.

The name “Creedless Creekwater Revival” is a play on the band name “Creedence Clearwater Revival.” Given that we follow no specific creed and that our Fellowship sits next to the Little Neshaminy Creek, the name seems quite fitting, don’t you think?

It would be impossible to describe exactly what kind of group CCR really is with any kind of accuracy. It’s an instrumental ensemble. It’s a choral ensemble. It’s a band with a variety of singers and/or back-up singers. Basically, CCR is whatever we want or need it to be on any particular day. And that means that any style of music is welcome, too! We play folk, country, gospel and rock–both contemporary and oldies.

We’re made up of amateur to semi-professional musicians who simply love to make music. It is a great place for members to bring original works for critique, or to sit back and jam on an old chestnut. Everyone is welcome–there are no auditions required. CCR meets most Thursday nights, starting at 7:00 p.m., until everyone decides to leave, about 10:00 p.m. or so.
