CCR UUnderground Hits

Join Creedless Creekwater Revival on Sunday, August 2 as they dig deeper into the ‘Underground Pop UU Hymnal’ and uncover an assortment of rock, pop, and folk-rock songs that have more than a little to say about who we are, where we’re going, and what the heck is going on.

Creedless Creekwater Revival, aka “CCR,” was started fifteen years ago by a small group of BuxMont “instrument-focused” musicians as a place for predominantly pop, rock, folk, and folk-rock BuxMont instrumentalists and singers where they could get together to make some music, mostly for fun, but also to help out occasionally with Sunday service music, and perhaps be a part of already established annual concerts.  Its informal organizational meeting drew an enthusiastic group of folks.  Names for the group were discussed, and the name “Creedless Creekwater Revival” caught on as appropriate and fun.  From the start, CCR was and is a no-audition band/ensemble for players and singers of all levels who are willing to practice at least a little during the week and be ready to rehearse on Thursday evenings for whatever project or performance we might be working on at the time.

CCR’s performers can vary quite a bit for any given performance or “gig,” with members being in or out depending on what else may be going on in their lives.  For this particular Sunday service, CCRs are Dena Condron, Jenn Holmes, Jennifer Worthington, Howard Barkan, Jaron Breen, Bob Chalmers, Tom Pirrone, Matt Plummer, Nick Scull, Mike Sherman, Greg Sturn, Elias Warren, and Howard Weitz.

Sound like fun?  Talk to Greg or Matt to see how you could join up.
