Hope as a Practice

From Mariame Kaba, “Hope doesn’t preclude feeling sadness or frustration or anger or any other emotion that makes total sense. Hope isn’t an emotion, you know? Hope is not optimism. Hope is a discipline… we have to practice it every single day.” As another election cycle comes to a close, and another begins, how do we practice hope no matter the outcome of a particular race? How do we continue working for change even when progress is made? Join us for a service of rest, renewal, and reflection on what it means to practice hope. After the service we will dedicate our Little Free Diverse Library.
