Widening the Circle – Eastern Religions

This Sunday’s programming is being offered both in-person and online.

The number of eastern philosophies is vast, from Buddhism and Hinduism to Taoism and Confucianism. This two-part service will look at the similarities between these ancient practices and how they relate to our UU beliefs. Part One looks at the appearance of “God” in these “religions.” Part Two zeroes in on belief systems that these philosophies have in common such as compassion, forgiveness and suffering. We’ll take an inspiring journey through ancient practices that are slowly but steadily becoming mainstream in modern society.
